Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- The Moroccan Ministry of Health said in a press conference a few minutes ago that 50 new cases have tested positive to the coronavirus today.

The death toll stands now at 10 as 4 people passed away today. (Two in Marrakesh, one in Casablanca, and one in Rabat)

The Moroccan Ministry of Health said people who passed away were either persons suffering from a chronic disease or persons over the age of 60.

This is the highest number of people who pass away in a single day due to the coronavirus in Morocco since the start of the outbreak.

Casablanca still holds the lion’s share in terms of people infected, followed by Rabat, then Meknes.

This brings the total number of people who tested positive to 275 in the North African kingdom.

8 people have fully recovered now from the virus, with only one person recovering today.

The Moroccan health authorities further said that over 931 people have tested negative since the start of the outbreak.
