The world football federation recently published its monthly country rankings for July. Unsurprisingly, Germany tops the list while Morocco forfeits two places.

The Atlas Lions equally share the 79th position with Angola since both nations have a total of 377 points. From an African only perspective, Zaki’s men are 17th way behind Algeria.

The Fennecs, who nearly went through the quarter finals in the last world cup, are the best ranked African team (24th position) right above Côte d’Ivoire (25th).

It is worth noting that Morocco comes behind “new” football nations such as United Arab Emirates, Albania, Israel, and Cape Verde Islands.

Concerning the top three line up: world champions Germany are first, runners up Argentina are second while the Netherlands completes the trio.
