The Arab Handball Federation announced, on its official page on ‘X’ platform, that the Moroccan national under-17 team won 10-0 against their Algerian counterpart. The match was part of the Arab Championship held in Casablanca city, between 21 and 30 April, at Mohammed V Sports Complex and Nassiriya Hall in Oulad Saleh municipality.

This announcement came after the withdrawal of the Algerian youth handball team from their match against the Moroccan national team, which took place last Tuesday evening. The game was scheduled to take place at the Mohammed V Hall in Casablanca at 7 pm.

The Algerian team justified their withdrawal due to an objection over the Moroccan national team members wearing shirts featuring a complete map of the Kingdom. It should be noted that these shirts have been approved by the International Handball Federation since 2016 and that Morocco’s senior team played with the very same outfit in the world cup and the African cup, against Algeria.
