Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- Omar Hilale, Morocco’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, said last Friday during a press conference (featured video) at the United Nations headquarters in New York, following the Security Council extending for one year the mandate of United Nations Mission for the Referendum in Western Sahara (MINURSO) that “Morocco takes note of the adopted resolution by the United Nations Security Council regarding the issue of Moroccan Sahara.”

Hilale stressed that the Kingdom of Morocco will continue, in full compliance with the decisions it has undertaken, dialogue in order to reach an exit from the crisis.

Hilale added that the adopted resolution reaffirms the parameters of the political solution, as defined by the Security Council since 2004 and clarified, in operational terms, in 2007.
