Morocco sees Increase in newly created businesses: regional centers of investments

Rabat, Morocco(TMT)- Morocco’s Regional Centers of Investment said in a report published this week that the kingdom witnessed an increase in the number of newly created businesses in the country, businesses that registered through branches belonging to said entity.

According to the report, 28.918 new enterprises saw light in 2017, a 7% increase compared to figures from 2016.

The aforementioned governmental investment body said that these companies involve mostly juridical entities (22,792 units), followed by a minority of legal entities (6,126 units).

The report also states that Morocco’s 5 big regions received the lion’s share in terms of the number of the aforementioned investments, with 87% of the newly created businesses involving the regions of Rabat-Sale-Kenitra, Casablanca-Settat, Marrakech-Safi, Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima and Fez-Meknes.
