Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- An old woman aged over 60 passed away in Morocco’s Tawnate provincial hospital after suffering a seizure attack when she was confronting and protesting against members of the local authorities (featured video) who evicted her from her house and then started demolishing it.
A statement from Morocco’s Interior Ministry said no force was used against the woman, further stressing that her death came as a result of the seizure attack she suffered.
The Ministry of Interior also stressed that “the late was living in an illegal house.”
Morocco’s Ministry of Health will carry out an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
The death of the woman triggered an uproar in Morocco, with various Moroccans not fathoming the reason behind demolishing her house during the current dire COVID-19 lockdown.
