In a significant swoop against drug trafficking, Casablanca’s judicial police arrested three individuals on Wednesday, June 7. The arrests took place in the Sidi Bernoussi security district and came on the heels of key information provided by the General Directorate for National Territory Surveillance.

The suspects, who already held judicial records, were apprehended in the act of drug possession and trafficking. They were found in possession of a whopping 5200 tablets of narcotics. This hefty haul included 600 medicinal narcotic tablets known as Rivotril and 4600 hallucinogenic tablets branded as Ecstasy.

A comprehensive judicial investigation is now underway, conducted under the stringent watch of the competent public prosecutor’s office. The probe aims to unfold the potential extensions of this nefarious criminal activity and unmask any additional criminal acts that can be attributed to the detained suspects.
