Marrakech, Morocco (TMT)– Moroccan police arrested two Brazilian nationals, aged 26 and 29, at Marrakech-Menara airport last Sunday for their suspected involvement in an international cocaine trafficking operation.

The couple was apprehended upon arrival on a flight coming from a European country after security checks indicated that they were likely carrying drugs in their intestines.

The authorities then discovered 100 capsules containing 1,260 kilograms of cocaine hidden in their intestines.

The suspects were placed in police custody and will be questioned to determine the full extent of the criminal operation.
