Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- Argentine national team coach, Lionel Scaloni, has recently spoken out about his admiration for the Moroccan national team coach, Walid Regragui, in recognition of his exceptional performance during the 2022 World Cup held in Qatar. Regragui’s impressive leadership and coaching prowess led the Moroccan team to achieve historical milestones, ultimately reaching the semi-final stage of the tournament.
During an interview with the Qatari Al-Kass channel, Scaloni praised Regragui, stating that he was undoubtedly deserving of the award for the best coach in the World Cup. Scaloni further emphasized Regragui’s success in convincing his players of their potential and ability to tackle any challenge, citing this as a remarkable achievement.
“Regragui deserved the award for the best coach in the World Cup. I am convinced of the enormous work he accomplished in a short time,” Scaloni stressed.
Notably, Regragui took over as coach of the Moroccan national team just three months prior to the World Cup tournament, yet his leadership guided the team to unprecedented heights, marking their first-ever semi-final appearance.
