Law enforcement authorities in the Kenitra region have made numerous arrests as part of a crackdown on individuals involved in stealing beach sand and storing it in warehouses for illegal sale.

The recent arrests included seven individuals, including truck drivers who were caught red-handed in the act.

Investigations are ongoing to dismantle the larger network involved in this illicit trade, with indications of influential individuals being connected to the case. The stolen sand is being sold on the black market. The suspects were also caught forging shipping documents to deceive police officers.
