Rabat- The 28th International Publishing and Book Fair (SIEL), organized by the Department of Culture from the Ministry of Youth, Culture, and Communication, in collaboration with the Wilaya of the Rabat Sale-Kenitra region, is taking place at the OLM Souissi venue in Rabat. The event runs from June 2 to June 11, 2023.

The fair boasts an impressive array of 737 exhibitors from 51 countries, split between 287 direct and 450 indirect exhibitors. Attendees can expect to peruse a diverse collection of over 120,000 book titles that cover a wide range of topics and disciplines.

This year’s fair is particularly noteworthy as it celebrates the 60th anniversary of Morocco and Canada’s diplomatic relations. As a special tribute, the fair has invited Quebec, a province of Canada, as its guest of honor. Visitors will have the unique opportunity to delve into Quebec’s rich culture and meet its creators and writers.

Additionally, the fair stands out for its organization of 221 innovative meetings featuring 661 participating writers, intellectuals, and poets. These gatherings promise engaging discussions and exchanges on a variety of novel themes.

The event will also include the participation of the Council of the Moroccan Community Abroad, and the embassy of the Netherlands in Morocco, among others.
