Rabat, Morocco (TMT)-According to the Jeune Afrique Magazine, the French president François Hollande will pay an official visit to Morocco in September.
During his visit, the said Magazine stated, the French head of state will decorate Morocco’s head of the Domestic Intelligence Agency (DST), Abdellatif Hammouchi, with the Insignia of Chevalier of the Legion of Honour.
The decoration is seen by various political analysts as the last step to bury once for all the “spat chapter” that hallmarked the relation between the two countries few months ago, a tussle triggered by French police officers looking for the Moroccan DST chief, who was back-then visiting France, for allegedly torturing a French national on Moroccan soil.
