Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- King Mohammed VI met yesterday afternoon the president of the Czech Republic Milos Zeman at the Prague Castle.
“These talks art part of the working visit that the Sovereign is paying to the Czech Republic, which reflects HM the King’s policy aimed at promoting the kingdom’s openness to countries of Central and Eastern Europe,” a statement from Morocco’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation read.
According to Morocco’s FM, “the Czech Republic ranks Morocco among the “25 priority countries” and opened a commercial representation office in Casablanca in 2013.”
The discussions between both leaders focused on “bilateral relations and the means to further consolidate them in a concrete manner, especially in the economic and cultural fields,” Morocco’s FM’s statement read.
Both leaders also discussed regional and international issues according to said source.
According to various locals sources, Milan Zeman offered 5 classic Czech cars to the Moroccan monarch.
According to non official sources however, King Mohammed VI discussed with Zeman the possibility of repatriating some Moroccan migrants who reached the Czech republic with fake Syrian passports in guise of “Syrian refugees” fleeing the war in Syria. Said migrants were en route to Germany, but their plans were laid bare after getting arrested by the local authorities.
